INTERNATIONAL 14th UNDERGRADUATE MEDICAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE

The 10th Annual Undergraduate Medical Research (UMR) Conference was held in 2017 under the guidance of Director Dr. Afshan Hussain Khan and UMR Society President Mr. Syed Mansoor Shah. Marking a significant milestone with the theme “A decade of learning and innovation,” this edition celebrated ten years of fostering research excellence and intellectual growth among medical undergraduates. 

The conference placed special emphasis on human development and enabled students to become future researchers by addressing common misconceptions and alleviating unfounded apprehensions about research. The abstract book reflected a diverse range of student-led investigations, including studies in dental sciences, the adverse effects of excessive mobile phone usage, and mental health challenges such as stress and depression among medical students. 

This conference reinforced the UMR initiative’s enduring commitment to cultivating a sustainable research culture and nurturing confident, inquiry-driven healthcare professionals.
